GHK-Cu (Glycine-Histidine-Lysine Copper Peptide) is a naturally occurring tripeptide found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. First discovered in the 1970s, it was found to make liver cells from older individuals behave like younger cells.
Plasma levels of GHK-Cu decline significantly with age - from about 200 ng/mL at age 20 to around 80 ng/mL by age 60. This decline correlates with reduced regenerative capacity in the body.
